Meet Dr. Yaldo, MD
A brief introduction…
Mazin K. Yaldo, MD is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and laser surgeon. After graduating with distinction from the University of Michigan in 1983, Dr. Yaldo attended medical school at Wayne State University, where he received a medical degree with Alpha Omega Alpha honors recognition. Following his internship at William Beaumont Hospital, Dr. Yaldo fulfilled his residency in Ophthalmology at Kresge Eye Institute. Hs post-doctorate fellowship was completed in glaucoma and complicated cataracts at Pacific Presbyterian Medical Center in San Francisco. In the field of refractive surgery, Dr. Yaldo advanced his education and training at Minnesota Eye Consultants in Minneapolis. He is now affiliated with the DMC and Oakwood Hospital and Medical Center.

Areas of Specialization:
- Lasik surgery using four of the most advanced lasers with custom, Wave Front technology to eliminate the need for glasses or contacts.
- Lasek surgery for patients who are not candidates for Lasik since their corneas or too thin or too flat. Dr. Yaldo has made modifications to the Lasek procedure which he teaches to other surgeons. He also performs new advanced procedures including Laser Cornea Reshaping and Conductive Keratoplasty to reduce dependency for reading glasses.
- Implantable Contact lenses (ICLs) to eliminate the need for glasses in patients with very high myopia.
- Cataract surgery using multifocal lens implants to restore crystal clear vision and eliminate the need for trifocal glasses. Only a very limited number of doctors in Michigan are trained to do multifocal lens implants.
- Clear-corneal cataract surgery for faster recovery time and fewer post-operative restrictions.
- Glaucoma treatment using the latest laser techniques. This treatment often ends the inconvenience and expense of eye drops.
Meet Dr. Rautio, OD
A brief introduction…
Jeffrey E. Rautio, OD has immersed himself in all aspects of medical optometric eye care for over two decades. After receiving his Doctor of Optometry degree from Ferris State University, Dr. Rautio spent 14 years as a Senior Staff Optometrist within the Department of Ophthalmology at Henry Ford Hospital in West Bloomfield. While at Ford Hospital, he was appointed team optometrist for the Detroit Lions from 1991 to 2000. He then gained private practice experience with the launching of two Lasik centers, Oculus and Derma Vogue. Prior to joining the physicians at Yaldo Eye Center in 2009, Dr. Rautio spent 10 years as Director of Refractive Services at the Beitman Laser Eye Institute in West Bloomfield. His primary responsibilities included all pre- and post-operative patient care, managing the day-to-day practice activities and physician co-management. Dr. Rautio’s credentials include dozens of professional presentations, publications and lectures to the Optometric and Ophthalmology community.

Meet Dr. Spoor, MD
A brief introduction…
Thomas C. Spoor, MD is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist known world-wide for his advancements in eyelid, orbital and neuro-ophthalmic surgery. He has gained a great deal recognition for innovations in treating patients with optic nerve dysfunction and other neuro-ophthalmologic disorders. With over 25 years as an Ophthalmologist, Dr. Spoor has shared his knowledge and experience with medical peers, fellows, residents and students through teaching and training. He has been an educator at University of South Carolina School of Medicine, University of South Alabama College of Medicine, Ocshner Clinic and Kresge Eye Institute of Wayne State University. As a part of sharing his research, technology and procedures, Dr. Spoor has authored seven textbooks, written over 50 textbook chapters, published over 60 articles and given over 200 oral presentations. As a Fellow of American College of Surgeons, he is now in private practice and affiliated with St. John Macomb Hospital.

Meet Dr. Lin, MD
A brief introduction…
Daniel J. Lin, MD is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist who specializes in eyelid, orbital and neuro-ophthalmic surgery. Dr. Lin received his medical degree in 2000 from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He then spent a transitional year at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in New York before completing his Ophthalmology Residency at Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia. A fellowship preceptor was completed in oculoplastics and neuro-ophthalmology under Thomas C. Spoor, MD in Warren, Michigan. Since 2006, Dr. Lin has been an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at University of Toledo/Medical School of Ohio.

Meet Dr. Dutt, MD
A brief introduction…
For more than 10 years, Dr. Rinku Dutt has had experience in refractive surgery. Dr. Dutt graduated magna cum laude from Kent State University in 1981, then proceeded to the prestigious Case Western Reserve Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio and received her M.D. degree in 1985. She then did an internship at The Cleveland Clinic and residencies at University Hospital of Cleveland and U.T.M.B. at Texas, Dr Dutt received her board certification while completing two fellowships: Glaucoma at Cornell and Cornea and Refractive Surgery at Tulane Medical Center.
Dr. Dutt has presented at numerous conferences on glaucoma and cornea. She has also published numerous papers.
In 1993, Dr Dutt was appointed as faculty, teaching residents, at St Francis Medical Center, a position she still holds. She has also set up private practice and has four convenient offices. The doctor is experienced in thousands of cataract, glaucoma and refractive procedures.
